We are currently recruiting 12 Summer Scheme Staff on behalf of our client Belfast City Council. These roles are based in various community centres across Belfast and will run between the 1st of July and  the 9th of August 2024, the successful candidates must be able to commit to the whole period and will work between 30 and 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £11.44 per hour.

These roles are ideally suited to sports coaches, teachers and students who are undertaking qualifications in an area that involves working with children. 

Duties:

  • Interaction with children between the ages of 4 and 16
  • Organise, supervise and participate in activities
  • Prepare materials and resources 
  • Follow health and safety and child protection guidelines

What We Need from You: 

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Ability to plan and take part in activities
  • Wiliness to undertake an Access NI police check

 

MRI Radiographer – Antrim

MRI Radiographer position urgently required, based at Antrim Hospital to work Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm with a pay rate of £18.10 – £28.96, depending on shift worked as this position may include evenings and weekends. This post will be initially for a 3-month period but is to be reviewed monthly ongoing.

It is essential candidates hold a Degree in Radiography and are currently HCPC registered. Our client would prefer a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in Diagnostic Radiography and 2 years experience in MRI.

Enhanced Access NI will be completed prior to agreed start date.

Quantity Surveyor – Belfast

Quantity Surveyor for the Belfast City Council, this post is based in Duncrue complex. This role will start immediately and will be for a minimum of 3 months, with working hours of 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £16.12 per hour. Weekend work may be included and will be paid at enhanced rates of up to £32.24 per hour.

The main duties of this role will be to provide a range of quantity surveying service such as, preparing contract documentation, assisting in the evaluation of tenders, developing of interim valuations and final accounts, processing paperwork, liaising with contractors and departments, and attending meetings with survey teams.

General Operative – Belfast

General Operative required for the Belfast City Council, this post is based in the Dundonald Cemetery. This role will start immediately and will be for a minimum of 3 months, with working hours of 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £12.38 per hour.

The main duties of this role will be clean and maintain public areas such as streets, parks and waste facilities, collecting rubbish and recycling, separating waste, and disposing of waste and hazardous materials.

Environmental Health Officer – Belfast

Environmental health officer needed to work with the Belfast City Council, based in Belfast City Centre. This is a full time temporary post for a minimum of 3 months, with possibility of extension. The hours of work will be between 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £17.53 per hour. The successful candidate will start immediately.

The main duties of this role will include, contributing to environmental improvement plans, enforcing and carrying out investigations relating to environmental health, liaising with organisations, updating records, and training staff on environmental regulations.

What We Need From You:

  • Be a qualified Environmental Health Officer
  • Hold a Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Officers’ Registration Board

Port Health Support Assistant

Port health support assistant needed to work with the Belfast City Council, based at Belfast City docks. This is a full time temporary post for a minimum of 3 months, with possibility of extension. The hours of work will be between 8am – 10:30pm, 5 days out of 7 including weekends, with a pay rate of £14.44 per hour, up to £28.88 for enhanced weekend rates. The successful candidate will start immediately.

The main duties of this role will include, updating records and databases, issuing all necessary documents, forms, and letters, collecting and analysing data and reports, answering calls, help code manifests for arriving vessels, applying holds in shipments for checks and providing advice to customers and agents.

  • 5 GCSEs including English
  • 1 years administrative experience working in an office environment

Payroll Manager – Belfast

We have an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Manager to work with our client the NI Housing Executive. This role is based in Belfast City Centre in Adelaide street. This is a temporary post for a minimum of 3 months, and the salary is £19.81 per hour, working hours will be 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the payroll department, processing transactions and invoices, assisting with investigations, ensuring all team members have tasks to complete, liaising with other departments, resolving any payroll issues and training staff.

What We Need From You:

  • Recognised qualification in payroll accredited by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals
  • 3 years experience managing a payroll function
  • Knowledge of gross-to-net calculations, PAYE, National Insurance, SMP, SPP, SSP
  • Experience of PSA’s, P11D’s, Salary Sacrifice schemes, HMRC Expenses taxation & exemptions

Housing Advisor – Belfast

We have an excellent opportunity for a Housing Advisor to join our public sector client who is based in Belfast. This is a temporary post for a minimum of 4 months, and the salary is £13.91 per hour, working hours will be 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Senior Officer – Belfast

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Officer to join our public sector client who is based in Belfast. This is a temporary post for a minimum of 4 months, and the salary is £13.91 per hour, working hours will be 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

The main duties of this role will be to assist the payroll team to ensure all payments are processed on time, handling confidential information, providing advice to employees and HR about pay issues, managing the payroll team on a daily basis, maintaining and updating records and balancing payroll accounts every month.

Plasterer

We have an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Plasterer to join our client the NI Housing Executive, this role will be based in Coleraine. This is a temporary post for a minimum of 3 months, with a salary of £12.80 per hour. Working hours will be 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm.

The post holder will be working with the Housing Executive travelling to properties across the Coleraine area to carry out inspection of internal and external walls, completing snagging reports and carrying out the plastering work. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Willing to undertake an Access NI check.
  • Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in a plastering environment.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements 
  • Full clean driving licence
