We are recruiting on behalf of our client who require a Permanent Activities Coordinator to work within their care home.

This care home is located between Donaghadee and Millisle with picturesque views of the sea, the home comprises of six households, each housing 10 residents.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you are truly passionate about providing meaningful activities to elderly residents. You will be working Monday to Sunday, 40hrs per week with a salary of £21,756 per annum.

The successful candidate will have main responsibility to identify the interests and hobbies of each individual resident and creating a schedule of group activities and one to one session.

 

What The Job Entails:

This is a diverse role and will include a number of key areas such as:

  • To create a stimulating activity programme
  • Plan larger fundraising parties for the nursing home
  • Liaise and book outside companies for activities
  • Liaise with care staff regarding weekly activity programmes
  • To review patient’s medical records and assess behaviours and physical status
  • Complete and update residents activity books
  • To promote independence where possible and encourage self-support

 

What We Would Like From You:

  • Experience in a similar role in a similar setting
  • Experience of working with elderly patients and Dementia patients
  • Health and Social Care Qualification
