Air Conditioning Engineer

First Choice are currently recruiting for an air conditioning engineer for our client based in the Ballymoney area.   As an air conditioning engineer  you will be required to install, maintain and repair systems such as ventilation, refrigeration, gas, air conditioning, central heating, among others for their customers based in factories, schools, hospitals, offices, and shops installing different types of air conditioning systems according to customer needs in order to maintain temperature and humidity within buildings.  Candidates need to have a clean driver’s licence and be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes as you will be required to drive company van travelling to different areas usually locally and as far as Warrenpoint.  A willingness to work nights and weekends may also be necessary.  Pay rate will be £16.50 per hour.

What The Job Entails:

• working on different types of air conditioning systems such as VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume), VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow), multi-deck and split systems
• visiting and surveying the premises where an air conditioning system is to be installed
• Full clean licence required to drive company van and be 25 and over
• producing an estimate for the cost of constructing and installing the system
• diagnosing and fixing faults if equipment does not work properly
• when installation is complete, carrying out quality inspection and tests
• doing regular service checks of the systems.

What We Need From You:

• GCSE Maths & English
• Level 2 Diploma in Access to Building Services Engineering and/or a Level 2 Diploma in Installing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems
• Full UK driving licence
• Participate in ‘On-Call’ rota
• Willingness to work nights & weekends
