Assistant Head of Projects Procurement – Altnagelvin Hospital

We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Head Procurement Project Manager to join our public sector client who is based in Altnagelvin Hospital. This is a temporary post for a minimum of 3 months, with a salary of £26.06 per hour. The working hours are Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm and Friday – 9.00am -4.30pm.

The post holder will be working with the Western Trust to manage the day-to-day operations and procurement of supplies and services.


  • To play a full and active part as a key member of the management team.
  • To manage procurement services ensuring that supplies are delivered with agreed targets and are compliant with corporate governance procedures.
  • To assist in the review and development of Housing Executive procurement policy and proposing changes.
  • To resolve supplier related problems.
  • Be familiar and comfortable with all aspects of procurement processes/tendering procedures.
  • Implement KPIs to measure performance.
  • Develop tender documentation and manage the procurement process to its conclusion.
  • Delivery of the business plan determining priorities and the allocation of resources.

What We Need From You:

  • 3rd level qualification in a related subject, such as Quantity Surveying
  • Experience in Project Management & management of staff
