B4 Family Support Worker – Foyle

We require Full time Band 4 Family Support Workers to work in supported living settings for adults and children with learning difficulties. These positions will entail assisting Social Workers in assessing the needs of the children and young adults and setting up care plans to suit the individual needs of each client.  You will also be required to assist in facilitating supervised contact arrangements including driving duties. These positions are in the Londonderry area.   Hours of work are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with a competitive pay rate from £11.53 to £18.45 per hour.

This is a diverse role and will include a number of key areas including:

  • To undertake direct work with children and young people
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals and other public bodies
  • To support parents, children and young people in developing confidence and self-esteem
  • To contribute to parenting programmes (individual and groupwork)
  • To maintain individual case loads and provide reports and information as required including giving evidence in Court
  • To maintain appropriate records
  • To participate in supervision, peer support groups and appropriate training and developments

What We Need From You:

  • Minimum of Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care related subject AND 1 years’ experience in a caring role within a health / social care related environment
  • OR Level 2 qualification in a Care related subject AND 2 years’ experience in a caring role within a health / social care related environment
  • OR 3 years’ experience in a caring role within a health / social care related role
  • Current NISCC registration
  • Full current driver’s license
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload
