Domestic Assistant – Mid-Ulster Hospital

ONE part-time Domestic Assistant is urgently required for an immediate start to work in Mid-Ulster Hospital, Magherafelt. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 4pm – 8pm with a rate of pay of £12.21 per hour. This is a temporary role lasting an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension, and the main job duties will include:
- Cleaning wards, corridors, and communal hospital areas to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Brushing, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Wiping down sanitising surfaces, furniture, and high-touch areas.
- Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, restrooms, washrooms, facilities, including replenishing soap and paper supplies.
- Emptying bins and safely disposing of general and clinical waste in accordance with hospital policies.
- Restocking cleaning materials and reporting any shortages or maintenance issues.
- Ensuring infection control procedures are followed at all times.
- Assisting with any additional domestic tasks.
What we need from you
- Willingness to complete enhanced Access NI Check.
- Willing to be available over Seasonal Holidays.
- Must be able to complete 1 day of online training (Training held every Wednesday).
