Domestic Assistants – Newry Area
We have 2 new temporary Domestic Assistant opportunities based in the Newry area. Both roles are ongoing temporary, for 3 months initially.
Domestic Assistant – Warrenpoint Health Centre.
- Hours: 15 per week, Monday to Friday, 4 pm–7 pm
- Pay: £12.21 per hour
The postholder will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility, including floors, surfaces, furniture, sanitary areas, and equipment. They will manage waste, replenish supplies, and report any defects or safety concerns.
Domestic Assistant with Bed-Washing Duties – Daisy Hill Hospital
- Hours: 30 per week, shifts on a 3-week rota including midday, evenings, and weekend shifts
- Pay: £12.21/hr weekdays, £17.22/hr Saturdays, £22.34/hr Sundays
The postholder will strip patient beds, wipe down bed frames and mattresses, and prepare them for transport to the laundry department. They will clean and disinfect bed spaces, dispose of waste safely, restock supplies, and maintain the bed-washing area while following infection-control procedures and reporting any defects or safety concerns.
