First Choice Belfast has an excellent opportunity for a Functional Specialist in Business Services. This role is based in Belfast and the pay rate is £19.89 per hour. The Successful candidate will be working 37.5 hours per week 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Our public sector client offers an excellent working environment, potential to apply for a permanent position and job progression with annual salary increments.

 

 

This is a diverse role to include the following:

  • Contribute to the governance of continuous improvement programmes
  • Manage large and diverse team of staff and undertake performance reviews
  • Using IT systems particularly IT solution improvement systems to create management information
  • Identifies key development area for shared Services based on customer demand, service performance and external benchmarking
  • Lead/contribute to continuous improvement projects and solution improvement meetings
  • Assists with maintenance of quality, productivity and training standards as defined
  • Identifies and suggests tasks/activities within the company that could be handled more efficiently and effectively
  • Supports regular data quality checks
  • Create and maintain relationships with company Managers to ensure alignment with customer needs and service performance
  • Lead/contribute to Business Services Team projects
  • Mitigate financial risk by maintaining fit for purpose control environments
  • Responsible for development and implementation of strategies, policies, initiatives

 

What We Need From You:

  • Must have One of the following qualifications:

 

  • BTEC Higher National Diploma (Business)
  • Degree
  • Professional Qualification

 

AND

 

3 years’ experience in a solution improvement supervisory level

 

 

OR

                5 years’ experience in a solution improvement supervisory role and extensive experience of development/design of solution Improvement processes and procedures underpinned by IT.

 

  • Experience of managing/leading a large team to deliver results and implementing action plans
  • Experience of IT systems particularly using Solution improvement systems to create management information
  • Experience of development/design of Solution improvement processes and procedures

 

 

What We Would Like from You:

  • Hold a current full UK Driving Licence and have access to a car on appointment

 

 

What We Will Offer You:

  • A minimum of 28 days paid holiday’s (pro rata)

  • Hours of work are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
