Health Improvement Worker (Inequalities)

Health Improvement Worker required for an immediate start working with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. This is a temporary post initially for 3 months and will be based in Newry.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and the successful candidate must be willing to work weekends and bank/public holidays as required. The pay rate is £15.78 per hour Monday to Friday, £23.67 per hour on Saturday and £31.56 per hour for Sunday and bank/public holidays.
The postholder will act as a champion for addressing health and wellbeing inequalities within Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and will be responsible for developing and implementing Health Improvement Plans/Projects. Other duties will include identifying funding opportunities, budget administration, record maintenance, preparing reports, identifying and engaging with
disadvantaged individuals and communities, and raising awareness of and promoting health and well being services, initiatives and programmes that are available.

What We Need From You

  • Have a level 4 qualification
  • Previous experience in successfully delivering a variety of projects
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
