What The Job Is:

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced support workers in the health care sector to join our team in Ballymena. This role is based in Ballymena and is due to start as soon as possible once all relevant checks are completed.  The suitable applicants will have experience working in a healthcare background, have knowledge of the role of support workers and working knowledge of barriers faced by those with mental health issues. The hours of work are on a shift basis and the rate of pay is £9.00-£13.00 per hour depending on shift worked.

What The Job Entails:

This is a diverse role and will include a number of key areas including:

  • Prompting personal care of service user’s.
  • Encouraging independence, and assisting with full inclusion into the community.
  • Provide emotional and practical support when required.
  • Help service user’s with finances and assisting with budgeting of monies.
  • Keep concise and factual records.
  • Interaction with staff and healthcare professionals

What We Need From You:

  • Six months experience working within the healthcare sector.
  • Driving licence and Access to a car
  • Team working skills.
  • To have or be willing to attend all mandatory training courses
  • Health and Social Care Qualification.
  • Niscc registered or willing to apply and an ACCESS NI check.

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Hours of work are on a shift basis.
  • 24 Hour on call service that can be accessed for emergencies
