What The Job Is:

First Choice Bangor Branch are currently recruiting Support Workers for our client in the Holywood area. As a core member of the support work team you will be expected to work both individually and within the team to provide the highest standards of care to all service users within the childrens residential unit. THIS PARTICULAR ROLE IS IN THE HOLYWOOD AREA WORKING A VARIETY OF SHIFTS INCLUDING WEEKENDS & SLEEPOVERS PAY RATE PER HOUR IS £9.00 – £13.00.  Our clients provide help where needed & are always there to support you on a day to day basis. This role is perfect for someone with experience & wanting to explore different areas of the care sector.

What The Job Entails:

This is a diverse role and will include a number of key areas including:

  • Provide support to service users in a supported living environment
  • Providing personal care to service users if required
  • To promote independence where possible and encourage self-support
  • To assist in daily activities


What We Need From You:

  • 6 months experience in a Healthcare Setting – experience in a mental health environment is a bonus
  • Experience in use of hoists and slide sheets
  • A capability to complete paperwork and update care plan notes accordingly
  • To be niscc registered, or willing to apply
  • To have or be willing to attend all mandatory training courses

  • Experience in a similar role in a similar setting

  • £9- £13 per hour

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Hours of work vary & some weekend shifts may be required
  • 24 Hour on call service that can be accessed for emergencies
  • Closing date of advertisement 06.03.20 @ 5pm
  • Start Date when training is complete
