Permanent Support Worker x 9 – Welcome Organisation Belfast

First Choice are urgently recruiting 9 Permanent Support Workers for our client the Welcome Organisation, a leading provider of care and support to the homeless. We are currently recruiting for various roles based within their hostel, assertive outreach program, floating support services, and drop-in centre all of which are based in the Belfast area. The hours of work will vary depending on the role but may include day shifts, night shifts and weekend work. Some of these roles may involve driving. Pay rates will vary between £11.00 – £12.50 per hour.

Duties will include:

  • Interaction with the service users providing support and advice
  • Maintaining records
  • Liaising with external agencies
  • Ensure service users have their basic needs met – Food, Clothes, Bedding et
  • Daily Living Assistance – Budgeting, meal planning, household chores etc.

Essential Criteria (May vary depending on the role):

  • 6 months – 1 years’ experience working in a homelessness environment or with people with complex needs
  • Competent in the use of IT packages
  • Understanding and implementing policies
  • To be registered with NISCC or willing to apply
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced Access Ni check

Immediate start dates once all checks have been completed
