Refuse Loader – Newry

Refuse Loader required to work alongside our client Newry, Mourne and Down Council. This role will start immediately and will be an ongoing temporary role, initially for 6 months. It is 36 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.63. The working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30am-4pm, however the successful candidates must be flexible to work weekends and bank/public holidays, enhanced rates of pay will be paid on these days.

The position is based at Greenbank Offices, Newry. However the role involves working across various locations in Newry, you will work as part of a team to remove household, commercial, and recyclable waste, maintaining cleanliness and public safety at all times. Duties include assisting the driver in vehicle manoeuvring, clearing spillages, reporting damaged bins or hazards, and ensuring collection routes are completed effectively. The post holder is also expected to engage courteously with members of the public and follow health and safety regulations

What We Need From You

• 6 months relevant experience.
• Full current driving licence.
