Senior Support Worker – Derry / Londonderry
We are urgently recruiting experienced Senior Support Workers for a Western Trust supported living service in Derry / Londonderry, supporting 16 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate will act as a Named Worker for allocated service users, taking responsibility for planning, implementing, and monitoring person-centred care plans and daily risk assessments. You will support service users to develop independence through meaningful, structured daily activities while ensuring their individual needs are met.
The role also involves medication administration, with refresher training available if required, and working in line with Western Trust policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis Monday – Sunday: 7.45am – 8.15pm or 7.45pm – 8.15am
- Pay: £15.33 – £24.52 per hour, depending on shift worked
- Enhancements: Weekend & overtime rates available
- Start: Immediate, temporary ongoing position (minimum of 3 months)
- Mileage: Weekly mileage payments provided
What We Need From You
- 3+ years paid experience supporting adults with disabilities
- NISCC registered
- Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
- Previous medication training
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
