Support Worker – Cookstown

Support Worker required immediately to work within an adult centre environment in the Cookstown area. This role will be working with adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours providing structured activities and therapies including support with daily care needs and sensory stimulation. Shifts will be Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm with a pay rate of £10.40 per hour. Immediate start available once all checks and training have been completed.

What The Job Entails:

This is a diverse role and will include a number of key areas including:

• Interact with service users and their family members
• Provide support to service users
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Create a plan for client’s day
• Assist with the daily activities
• Be aware of and implement Safeguarding Policies

What We Need From You:

• 3 months experience in a Healthcare Setting
• Experience working with adults with learning difficulties
• To be NISCC registered, or willing to apply
• Be willing to attend all mandatory training courses
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced Access Ni check

What We Would Like From You:

• Experience in a similar role in a similar setting
• Medication trained is preferred
• Management of Violence and Aggression (MVA) Trained is preferred but not essential
