Support Worker – Day Centre Newtownards

Support Worker needed for an immediate position at our6 clients Day Centre located in Newtownards.                                                                                                                                      You will be working as part of a team to support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and challenging behaviours. This is a sociable role where you will interact and provide support to the service users, assisting with activities with the centre and supervising outings. This is a temporary position lasting a minimum of 3months with possible extension. You will be working Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm with a pay rate of £11.11 per hour.

What The Job Entails:

• Provide assistance on day trips (transport duties)
• Be involved with planning and implementing activities.
• Assisting with meals and feeding
• Personal care

What We Need from You:

• To be NISCC registered, or willing to apply
• To have, or be willing to attend all mandatory training courses
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced Access Ni check
• Knowledge of epilepsy and swallow guidelines
