We have a great opportunity for a PERMENENT Quantity Surveyor for one of our Clients based in Armagh.

We are working in partnership with a leading conservation and restoration company specializing in, but not limited to, Cathedrals, Church’s, Period Buildings, Castles and other buildings that require high levels of expertise and craftsmanship. Our client is a family run business with a dedicated and skilled workforce. Our client have undertaken works on schools, new buildings, design & build, civil works, housing and listed buildings.

Job Description

To assist in the provision of quantity surveying services under the direction of the directors. A quantity surveyor/estimators role is diverse but includes offering expert advice on all commercial aspects of construction or property development including management of costs and contractual matters. You will be responsible for overseeing the cost management on a range of  projects. You will be involved with full pre and post contract quantity surveying, estimating, cost planning and producing bills of quantities as well as tender documentation / reports. This role will require you to attend site meetings and design briefings, alongside preparing interim valuations and site measurement.

What will you need to Succeed 

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have a degree in Quantity Surveying with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role. You will have an understanding of a construction project life-cycle from pre-construction through to completion with experience in NEC contracts. As project locations will vary, you will be willing to travel throughout the UK & Ireland when necessary
