Successful applicants will play a key role in ensuring that Housing Executive properties are safe, energy-efficient and well-maintained. These public sector roles offer full-time employment, initially on a temporary 3-month basis with potential for extension based on performance.

Electrician – Now Hiring

Location: Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey
Hourly Rate: £15.70
Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

• Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm
  Contract: Temporary (3 months with possible extension)

Responsibilities include:

• Electrical refurbishment and maintenance of properties

• Installing and maintaining electrical systems

• Replacing wiring and identifying faults

Requirements:

• Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installations

• Registration on the Spark-safe programme

• Completed electrical apprenticeship

• At least 1 year of post-apprenticeship experience

Joiner – Now Hiring

Location: Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey
Hourly Rate: £13.24
Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

• Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm
  Contract: Temporary (3 months with possible extension)

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out joinery maintenance and repairs

• Installing new fixtures

• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings

Requirements:

• Completed joinery apprenticeship

• Full clean driving licence

• Proven experience in maintenance and joinery work
