Children’s Residential Support Worker – Ballymena

We are currently recruiting Children’s Residential Support Workers in the Ballymena area to support children with disabilities and complex behavioural needs within a residential setting.

These roles are available for immediate start, with full-time hours (37.5 per week) preferred, though part-time applications will also be considered.

Shift patterns operate on a 7-day rota and include:

  • Early shifts
  • Late shifts
  • Waking night shifts
  • Sleepovers

Pay rates range from £14.06 – £25.41 per hour, depending on the shift worked, with an additional £60.00 sleepover rate.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or adults with learning disabilities and/or behaviours that challenge
  • NISCC registration, or willingness to apply
  • A full UK driving licence, including business insurance
  • CPI (Safety Intervention) training

If you do not currently hold CPI/Safety Intervention training, First Choice can provide a 2-day training course, with the next course available in June 2026

Support Workers urgently required to work on behalf of our private healthcare client, located in their Derry/Londonderry setting.

This role requires a flexible candidate who is able to commit to 39 hours per week on a rolling rotation with variation of hours. Shifts include long days, waken nights, weekends and bank holidays. Candidates will be lone working based on 1:1 support.

Hourly rate is £13.50 – £17.50 depending on shift worked, with double time available at Bank & Public Holidays.

Dietitian – Belfast

In conjunction with our client the BHSCT we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Dietitian to join the diabetic clinic team based at Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Belfast. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based nutritional counselling and support to patients living with diabetes and related metabolic conditions.

Rate of pay will be £19.78 per hour working 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. This is a minimum 6 month contract with the potential for extension based on service requirements.

Main Duties:

  • Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop personalised meal plans
  • Educate patients on diabetes management, healthy eating, weight control, and lifestyle modification
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust dietary interventions as needed
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct individual consultations and group education sessions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
